Acting as a one-person IT department. I build data pipelines with Prefect, run an internal dashboard for KPIs, and develop integrations to applications like the Abacus ERP and the internal funding platform. I also create web applications and campaign sites, guide the wider digitalization effort, and embed tools into daily work to increase transparency. Currently focused on building a new backbone for the funding process of the canton of St. Gallen.

Started as Smart Factory Engineer connecting IT and OT — collecting machine data and visualizing status and KPIs. Adopted Power BI as the visualization layer and became the company-wide single point of contact (SPOC) for Power BI. Developed strategies to expand data coverage by bridging WinCC to an internal MQTT broker and routing the data downstream to multiple consumers. Coached colleagues on building reliable, performant Power BI reports and co-shaped the Unified Namespace concept.

Mainly used Poetry to develop an internal forecasting tool focused on FMCG processing, running on top of Snowflake and a self-managed Databricks setup. Built an Excel interop add-in for accessing MicroStrategy: unlike the legacy add-in, it used the REST API and parallelized parsing across cores, cutting parse time by 95%. Also delivered ad-hoc analyses and supported VBA automations.
